Collections have a Sort Title - like everything else.
As you might imagine - it can come in handy at times:
I use a 4 digit number and when I put one next to another one in the library I skip 10 - making it easier to add one in between, but you can also use decimal point fiddles…
The Collection shown in edit is a Smart Collection that I place on the Home Screen with it’s own display settings - consists of 40 randomly selected Movies after 2018 - and yes, Smart Collections have a Sort Title as well.
I use different Sort Titles to do different things, like lay Star Wars Movies side by side where a release year won’t work (e1-e3 out of sequence):
… and a year when it will work - like Star Trek Movies:
Star Trek puts 'em all in a bunch on the page at “Star T” - the year sets the sequence.
I have to believe almost anything you want to do with sorting - you can already do with Sort Title.
