None of my downloaded content was available on the plane while being offline

I have downloaded several movies from my server to take it with me for a long flight. When starting the app on my ipad I was greeted with a black screen and I could not watch or even select one downloaded movie on my Ipad (most recent IpadOS). Using the IPhone, there was a at least a sign in option available (instead of a black screen), which however is nonsense for watching offline. Fix this, Plex is such a disappointment nowadays!
