Well, I was excited about moving to Plex DVR. I have been a Plex and Tablo user for years. Plex (per-DVR) has never been a problem. However, in the week I have had it running, I have experienced the stuttering issue, not recording a show that was absolutely shown in the schedule, and now this morning, most painfully I see the plex server has just stopped, right before it was supposed to record (or maybe when it started to record) a bunch of Sunday morning shows.

I am willing to deal with some pain and hiccups along the way, but the server just stopping is unacceptable.

Are there any known reasons the server stops related to DVR? Thanks.

There can be lots of reasons for a Plex server to stop…

DVR is not the most stable thing to say the least :frowning: but if you want to post a log file we can take a look and see what might be the cause and if DVR is related in any way.

If you can gather logs as close to a time it crashed will help.

It can be super frustrating when a scheduled show or a bunch of them fail it has happened to me many times not just in Plex but MythTV or NextPVR as well as Plex so I understand your frustration.

Based off reading some other entries I have unchecked use hardware acceleration. We’ll see if there’s any difference

So far so good, all recordings working and no stoppages.
