I have a user who is using a Smart TV and it’s not showing up in my Settings - Devices list, but I can see it in Now Playing. How?
You will be only able to see your own devices (i.e. those which have been connected to your own plex.tv account.).
Devices which are connected to other user’s accounts can only be managed by those users. i.e. if you have shared your server with those users.
If you are talking about a user who is a so-called ‘managed user’, you must first perform a ‘fast user switch’ on this device to your own user account. Then the device will appear among your devices.
So if I share access with another Plex user, their devices under their email won’t show up on my list, correct?
Precisely. Which devices they add to their account is their own business.
