So you are signed into your phone with your wife’s account? It sounds like your TV is not signed into the same account.

On top left it has my wife, on the bottom left, under more+, it has my friend and Plex. I can see all the movies offered in Plex, but my friend’s is blank. It will not show anything; movies, music, etc.
On the TV click on your wife’s username then the screen that opens select “Reset Customizations” This should go through a wizard to select the your friends server and the libraries to put on the home screen.
Without knowing your friend’s server settings it is hard to diagnose. Depending on their servers security settings you might have to change the “allow fallback to insecure” setting in the tv app for example but it could be many other things.
What are the steps between the username and Reset Customizations? I didn’t anything that said that.
