Authorized devices

I have several “Home User” profiles created. For one of these profiles, it is used outside of my house by my kids at my in-laws house when they are there. For some reason, I cannot see my in-laws’ Roku listed under managed devices in the Plex Web settings. This always used to work in the past but unfortunately, I’m not sure when this changed.

I get not being able to see authorized devices for a “friend” where I share my libraries but a “home user”/“managed profile” should not have control of this to my Plex account.

I found an old thread about this from almost a year ago but unfortunately it’s locked.

Correct, when switching to that managed user profile, Authorized Devices do not show up (and I would not expect them too).

Not sure why your reply is no longer showing. I’m guessing you deleted it…

I deleted it because i wanted to make sure of something. I have reproduced the issue and see what you mean.

Thank you for reporting this.

Understood. Thanks for the update!

I used to be able to see all authorized devices that connect to my server. I would like that functionality to come back as I use it to monitor which accounts are sharing their account + password outside of the users I have granted access to; to ensure no one is abusing their share privileges.

@BigWheel

Any update in regards to this issue? It continues to be a problem.

Thanks!

no change yet but I will poke that report I made.

Great, thank you. I noticed it had been a couple of months so I figured I’d ask. Appreciate it.
