I created a new library today that I would like to share with my family. I’ve previously shared libraries with these family members. When I attempt to grant access to any of the members, the list of options for what that member has access to doesn’t contain a listed toggle option for the newly created library.
I’ve tried logging out and back in to see if it would refresh the options and recognize the new library, but no luck so far.
I’ve searched for about an hour and can’t find an answer online.
I would consider this a bug, as Plex really should update the list that you can share with members & users in your PlexHome automatically.
Well, this feels a little silly. 10 minutes later, I figured out that I had to completely exit/shut down the server, and restart the server application in order to get that list to refresh.
There’s the solution if anyone else has a struggle with this. I still believe it would be nice for this list to be auto-updated after the creation of any new library. It probably shouldn’t be necessary to have to reboot the whole server.
Thanks from me too. Was just searching for the solution to my new Library not showing up, and one I deleted still being in the list. Would be great if there was a refresh option somewhere.
