Pretty new to this but I’ve noticed not all my movie and tv media is showing up in my plex server. I make sure all my files are either MP4 or MKV files. So I’m not sure what the problem is?
Not much to go on there, but I recommend taking a look at these articles about preparing your media for Plex. One of the most common causes of this is that the filenames don’t conform to Plex’s requirements, so it can’t make sense of them. These articles will help you with that.
As an update, I removed my databases and reinstalled Plex Media Server, and everything is coming back up. I could not just remove the databases and restart though, I had to reinstall. Linux based system.
For anyone trying to help, this issue is happening all over again where new videos are not being added to my server.
I just started using Plex. It is taking over for Apple’s TV app. The scanning of my library is missing a ton of my movies and TV shows. Is there any to manually load the remaining items so that I can access them through Plex?
