Not available outside your network - Worked before stopped now

Server Version#: 1.20.1.3252-a78fef9a9
Player Version#: 1.17.0.1376-439f8b7f

I had verbose logging on before this. Turned it off. Plex Media Server Logs_2020-08-27_20-00-09.zip (2.1 MB)

I have done this weeks ago, and it has worked perfectly. All of a sudden it just did not want to work. I don’t know if it was a windows update. If something happened to plex. Something might have happened to my Mesh system (always had). I have port-forwarding enabled to 32400 on UDP&TCP.

The only thing I can remember what could have done to my Plex server could be when I installed WSL (Windows Subsystem for Linux) - which is needed for university.

I noticed the same thing. If you disable the new player on your player outside your network, it will work (but you lose all the new features). Either that or you setup a VPN so you can route to the internal ip of your server. For whatever reason, the new player tries to talk to the private IP, not the public external.

Plex uses TCP. You can delete the forwarding rule for UDP.

Plex is picking up a double NAT situtation. Check your network, make sure your Plex server is behind just one router.

If not needed for other services, turn off UPnP on your router. It is not needed for Plex since you’re using port forwarding.

I’m using a Mesh system and Plex worked before on it, but not anymore. Not sure what to do. I have disabled UPnP and put it only on TCP. It still does not work outside of my network.

Same problem here. Remote access lost the minute the sever upgraded. Is there an easy temp downgrade? We are not home and would prefer access to the sever in the meantime
