I recently accidently deleted my Movies library. I added it back OK, and all is good, however now when I select an actor, then their filmography, the list of items does not display “On [server name]”, even though I have that movie in my library.
Any ideas on this?
I think there’s a known issue where the person page lookup on local/shared libraries can timeout and fail to display those items. From experience, reloading the page will usually bring it back with all items displaying fine.
The same issue was solved for me today, after triggering a waiting Chrome update and then subsequently refreshing the web app.
Browser is up-to-date, and refreshing page takes me back to Home page.
I will try to do some screen shots to illustrate the issue more clearly.
Sorry for the delay in responding, but had some family issues arise.
Anyway, I am at v4.134.2, and have optimized my database, but still I do not see movies in an actor filmography that are on my Plex server. Am I at the point where I need to delete and read my library? as far as I can tell, this is what caused the issue!
Any thoughts?
Is the library set to use the “Plex Movie” agent, and is the checkbox “Adult titles” disabled?
Problem solved, and here’s what I did so it may help others.
I have my movie library pinned to the home side panel.
If I select Movies from there, select a movie, then select one of the actors, then filmography…it does not show which of their movies I have in my library.
but if I select More, which shows my server name and libraries within it, then select Movies, and a movie, then an actor, then filmography, it DOES show movies in my collection for that actor.
Moral of the story here…always specifically select your library from your server name list!!

Do you have more than one server installed?
Your account says that you have indeed 2 of them, one on Windows, one on Mac.
Is it possible that you have the library of one server pinned, and the library of the other not?
And that the pinned library doesn’t have the above settings?
