Not enough bandwidth for direct play of this item

I’m SOOOOOO tempted to leave you with a reply “You do not have enough bandwidth to direct play this item!”. However I admit that’ll be silly.

Do you mind sharing some more details?

  • are you attempting to play a video in your home network or from remote?
  • is your Plex media server / client connected via wired or wireless LAN?
  • what kind of file are you trying to play? (you can check out the video information inside Plex – most interesting will be e.g. average and max. bitrate)
