I recently installed HDHomeRun Prime and went through the Plex configuration. I’ve been able to get the DVR feature working correctly but since you can’t stream Live TV via the web I’m trying to get it to work on my Samsung 4K Smart TV and Android tablet/phone.
I’m running Plex Server 1.7.5.4035
I’m logging into the Plex client’s with the owner account
and I’m able to stream to the Android devices with the HDHomeRun app without any problems. I’m just not getting the open within the Plex client’s.
What am I doing wrong?

You’re not doing anything wrong other than attempting to use currently unsupported devices.
Watching Live TV
If you have a Plex DVR set up, not only can you record content, but you can also watch it live on supported Plex apps! So, now you can watch live TV on your lunch break, the commute to work, or while lying in bed where you don’t otherwise have a TV.

Note that “Android TV” is not the same as “Plex for Android”.
Apparently all those little Android TV boxes use quite a specific custom Android OS on them.
I’d seen the info you posted above but clearly didn’t read it close enough.
