Not working with new Siri "default" player command

So, just installed iOS 14.5 and told Siri to “Play Music”, it then came up with the list of apps and Plexamp was listed. But after selecting Plexamp, Siri replies with “you have to continue in Plexamp” and all future “play music” commends get the same reply.

Is there going to be a update to fix this?

After I upgraded today it worked perfectly over here. Have you used Siri with Plexamp before? Have you given it permissions? Does it work when the app is open?

If none of that helps, please upload logs.

Also please let me know what server version you’re running; make sure it’s latest.

Server: Version 1.22.3.4392

Does not work with app open or closed. Some things work like the “I love this track” but “I hate this track” does not work. I uninstalled and reinstalled the app, but still does not work. All switches are turned on in Siri.

Make sure your library is enabled for global search.

That is the way it is set

I apologize, I misread your log.

Based on this it can’t understand what you’re asking for. What exact voice commands are you using? The only case which is missed here (which will be in the next version) is year-based playback e.g. “play music from the 1960s”.

“Hey Siri, play music”
“Hey Siri, play music in Plexamp”

But, if I say “hey Siri, play Joss Stone” that works.

Well ■■■■, I didn’t even know that was a thing. We’ll have it play library radio in the next release

This has been working great, but the other Siri commands sill don’t seem to work. LIke “I love this song” & “I love this song”. I am using the single star method.

Was just playing around with it, I deleted the shortcuts and re-added them back, and now it works. disregard previous post.

Spoke to soon. While it worked last night on my couch, today in the car it did not. Got the Plexamp has not added that yet message.

Again disregard the previous post. I was saying I love the SONG. not TRACK. Changed the input to SONG because I am dumb and forget.

It’s like watching someone argue with themself
