Nothing plays on iOS after HEVC conversion

Server Version#: 1.25.0.5282
Player Version#: 7.25 (iPadOS v15.1)

I recently converted my media to HEVC with Tdarr, and now I cannot seem to play anything in Plex App on iPadOS. Other platforms work (iOS, tvOS, Fire Stick 4K).

Errors in the server logs when I try to play a file:

Dec 01, 2021 09:12:40.739 [0x147716b50b38] ERROR - [Transcode] ClientProfileExtra: video transcode target already exists for streaming hls
Dec 01, 2021 09:12:40.803 [0x147716b50b38] WARN - [Transcode] Got a request to stop a transcode session without a valid session GUID.

Attaching logs from iPad app as well.

EDIT: Adding server logs too.

Try deleting and reinstalling the app. I can’t really see anything that would prevent the file from playing. It looks like it starts to transcode because of a container incompatibility and then something kills the transcode. Based on what I know about the iPad, there is no reason it should be having trouble with HEVC video and AAC audio. I’m still learning to read these logs though, so I could be missing something. I also just talked to someone on here earlier that found picture in picture mode was screwing it up. So maybe that could be your culprit also.

Wow. Uninstall and reinstall of the iPad app did it. I’m an idiot for not trying that. Thanks!

Your not an idiot, I would’ve never thought of it unless I had seen the same thing earlier. Happy it works now and have a Happy Holiday! :santa: :santa:
