Hello,
I have 2 sections in my library, one containing “raw” mp4 files using the default localmedia scanner, the other being an EyeTV archive (which contains packages containing the mpg file) using a scanner I’ve written using code posted elsewhere on this forum. I’ve noticed that a refresh of the raw mp4 section is very quick, but a refresh of the EyeTV section takes much longer.
Refreshing the raw mp4 files generates the following entries in Plex Media Scanner.log:
Jan 09, 2012 09:39:43 [0xa01a9540] DEBUG - * Scanning Up (2009)
Jan 09, 2012 09:39:43 [0xa01a9540] DEBUG - Looking for path match for [/Volumes/External HD/DVDs/Up (2009).mp4]
Jan 09, 2012 09:39:43 [0xa01a9540] DEBUG - Path matched, we're reusing media item 2779
However, refreshing the EyeTV Archive generates :
Jan 09, 2012 09:21:05 [0xa01a9540] DEBUG - * Scanning The Woods
Can someone explain what "Noting item as needed media analysis" means, and if there's something I can do to prevent it?
Thanks,
Steve
