Now ruined

I can, for me.
My Aunt Gladys (103yrs later this month) can’t really get her head wrapped around the idea and as far as she’s concerned there are advertisements in the stuff on ‘My Server’ and there never used to be.

Oh, we got her straightened out - when I had a cousin disable ‘Plex Movies and TV’ and I didn’t have to make the 600 mile round trip to Aunt Gladys’ house.

yes

this is it, the only plex support we all get

this is as good a place as any. you can also complain on reddit if you like, or any other outlet you want to vent on.

me? nope.

I complain as much as many others.

I have no opinion on this as long as I can still access my personal media in a convenient manner; I was attempting to address a fairly specific question you’d posed. It seems now that it was rhetorical and you didn’t actually want a response.

I wonder what Disable for Managed Users means?

It means your managed users won’t be able to access the respective online media (nor see the menu). Same as it’ll be disabled for you if you set it to Disabled.

Managed users are users that do NOT have their own plex account and are essentially sub-profiles of the admin user.

Any user that has THEIR OWN plex account, must make THEIR OWN choice to see or not see the online content.

I think the poster was being sarcastic Tom, there has been a bit of banter going on for a while in this discussion.

Yep. I asked a long time ago why there isn’t a “shooting the breeze” section on the forum. I was told that’s what this section is supposed to be. Unless you breaks the rules…then the post gets deleted, as I witnessed earlier.

I actually find it interesting that after years of being told that Plex HOME is designed for users in the same household only, of late there are at least 4 posts from Plex employee’s stating that Plex HOME is the “solution” for situations like yours. Who knew!!

Thanks for clarifying that.

What a load of trouble I’ve caused…! oops!
