Now unable to add TIDAL content to Plex Collection after it was working for weeks

I’ve created three or four Collections in Plex and added my content on TIDAL to those collections. One collection has several dozen TIDAL albums in it. This has worked for weeks.

Today, I attempted to add a new album from TIDAL to an existing Collection on Plex, and am given the generic error of

" There was a problem updating this item."

I can add the album to a Plex playlist.

I have already added the album to Plex.

I have restarted my Plex server and checked for updates.

I have dozens of TIDAL albums across several existing Plex Collections.

I have tried adding another TIDAL album to the same Plex Collection, and to a different one, and receive the same error about

" There was a problem updating this item."

I have tried removing the album from my server named ‘mediaserver’ and adding it back, and then adding it to a Collection. This also does not work.

The log files showing error codes during this time are enclosed below and anonymized slightly.

Please advise on how to resume normal functionality of my Plex Collections with TIDAL. Thanks!

I’m following up on this case as I have not yet seen a response, and the problem is continuing to occur.

I’m following up on this case as the issue is continuing to occur. Is this the best way to request technical support or is there another more appropriate venue?

Thanks for the report.

I’m actually not sure how you managed to add TIDAL items to collections previously as it shouldn’t have worked at all (maybe worked quite a few versions ago but not recently).

I’m filing a fix for this and it should be resolved in a future release.

Thank you for your reply. I have since resolved the issue where the connection was blocked on 127.0.1.1:32400 by opening a local firewall rule; however, this has not removed the issue.

The specific use case this is being used for is to produce smart playlists using TIDAL content, such as:

In this scenario, the “Working Collection” exclusively contains content from TIDAL.

Following up on this case as it’s been a week; is there a rough estimate of when the new version with the fix will be released?
