Nuc/PMS not connecting properly after waking up from sleep mode

Hi,

To save a bit of electricity, I have my NUC pc go into sleep mode after several hours no inactivity. When I try to wake it up the next evening, it seem to have lost connection with the Synology NAS drive. The Plex would load on the AppleTV but the connection seems to have been lost. I tried to change category from Home to Movies, to TVShows but it wouldn’t really connect with the NAS drive. I discovered that I had to restart the NUC pc then the connection works again. Does anyone know what’s happening and how to fix this problem? Should I not put the NUC on sleep mode?

If it’s not reconnecting from Windows to Synology after waking up, this is best handled with Microsoft and Synology.

I mean sometimes it does and sometimes it doesn’t. Seems like the only way for sure to fix the problem is to restart the pc itself. But this would defeat the problem of putting it to sleep in the first place. :frowning:

Check the NUC’s UEFI firmware and make sure all applicable updates are applied.

I have 4 NUCs. I always see quite a few Windows updates for them.
