NVENC Transcoding on Ubuntu 16.04

I have been trying to get PMS to use my GPU (Nvidia 760 GTX) on my new install of Ubuntu 16.04 but I am not seeing an option to enable or disable…I could have swore I saw that option when I was using Windows but I know that was when it was in testing.

My question is is my server able to do it? My hardware is AMD FX 8350, Nvidia Geforce 760 GTX OEM. If it is able to do it are there any specific things I need to do like run latest ffmpeg or something to get it to work? I saw something saying I needed to add my user to video so I did that but that was posted sometime ago so I am not sure if that is needed. Also, should I see anything in particular in the logs if it is working? I have that card in there with the intent of using it but I am not sure if it is or not. I just want to confirm that the AMD processor isn’t the reason why it wouldn’t work as it seems all the forum posts I have seen have said that they are running Intel CPU’s.

As mentioned before I had is working on the Plex Pass build sometime ago but that was on a windows machine using the same hardware. Any info would be helpful. Thanks!

PMS doesn’t work with graphics card’s GPUs at this time. It only works with CPUs equipped with Intel’s Quick Sync. Sorry.
