Hi All,
A couple of months ago my Plex Media Server stopped truing on. When I go into the settings in the app there server says that it is stopped. When I try to start the server, the server doesn’t start. My Nvidia Shield has the latest version of the OS (8.0). Does anyone have any idea what might be happening?
Did you possibly move the Plex data to an external drive and now not using that drive? PMS will not start in that scenario since the data location can’t be found. You can delete data for PMS from the Android settings to start over.
@anon18523487 I have deleted all data and the cache and the server will still not start. I have uninstalled all updates. When I relaunched Plex it acted like I have never set up a server before. I let the setup process run all night to no avail. I then reinstalled the updates and tried the setup again, still no effect. Do you have any other ideas?
Having the same issue. All of a sudden PMS will not start on my Nvidia Shield - it was not working and then I updated to 7.21.0.012323 and it still will not run. When I check settings it show that PMS is stopped and I can not get it to run. Help
Just defaulted my Shield back to OEM settings - lost everything and in time I’ll set it all back up but I was able to get PMS working again. Of course now I show 2 servers and the old one is “unavailable”. I’m hopeful it will disappear on it’s own eventually.
Well, my Plex server is down. Won’t start. Was working just fine few days ago. I wont reset my Plex. Will loose all my database. There’s a way of backing up all my database with poster, arts etc… (Just like Kodi using the backup app). Then I could restore back if I reset the server? THX.
