Ah crap. Made it 23:33 into the movie before it buffered this time.
is it possible to get a sample file
Yes, I work in a HSZ so I wonāt be able to get to it until after work. Will post a link once Iāve got a sample.
Sample has been sent to you in a DM. Please let me know if you need another sample.
thanks. did you try the sample? does it do the same thing? I know it might not be long enough to tell
I didnāt try the sample no, considering itās only 20 seconds long I was doubtful that the issue would arise during it. Especially since the last playthrough I did after wiping the cache extended the playback by 20 min.
While I was experiencing the stuttering it could happen at any point between the beginning 30 seconds of the movie up to where I was (23 min in). This is extremely hard to reproduce without having someone sit here with me troubleshooting it.
From what I can tell though, the cache or something needs to be increased on the Shields client by a considerable margin just from what weāve discovered so far.
One thing I was thinking of, which I could be completely off-base here. Wasnāt there a super secret hidden setting like --allow_high_bitrate or something? Iām not sure if that would have any affect here, but it was something I remember seeing ages ago that may help here?
Iāve never heard of such a setting
Interesting, I donāt recall where I saw it - I guess Iām on the good stuff ;). Either way, itās neither here nor there.
was wondering if you might try this on one of the files. it is command line so I understand if you are not comfortable with it. mkclean
I live in CLI, no problemo ![]()
I ran mkclean against the file and it seems to have removed the DV layer as itās only showing as HDR10 in Plex.
Still have original file? Can you use Media Info on it and the new one
Yep, Iāll copy both files to my desktop and use post the mediainfo screenshots here.
For one of your other files that does this as well can I see the Plex media info xml for that as well
Yes, absolutely. Iāll get all of this for you first thing in the morning.
Thank you again for taking the time.
The Northman makes it in about 7:04 before it starts buffering. Iāll provide the media info for that one as well.
Were the xml and mediainfo able to shine any light on this issue?
Hey. I could not see anything out of the ordinary but am waiting on an Android dev that may know more later today
Hey! Thank you for the update and letting me know
I appreciate it.
'Afternoon! Just wondering if anything new has come to light regarding this?
