NVIDIA Shield - Media Server issues

For the past few days I’m contstantly having issues with my Plex on the Shield. I have a server running with the Shield app - with a hard drive in the Shield, but also a media server from a PC in the office. It keeps disconnecting from either one of them. When I sign back and link up, it works again for a while, then suddenly I get Red ! sign besdie each folder. It says I’m not connected to the network.

I then go to settings and Plex Media Server has stopped. I have tried all of the usual (clear cache, stop Plex and Media server) but it keeps happening. I eventually got that to work after reststarting a few times, but once that’s working, my PC library becomes missing and it says I’m not connected.

Why does Plex Media Server keep stopping on the Shield? And why does it keep breaking my connection to the other media server?
Can I not have 2 media servers running from the same account?

I’m so frustrated with this app now.

Can anyone please help me with this issue?

I have a Nvidia Shield and I’m connected to a server in my office running Plex Media server. It was working OK until last week and now it’s a nightmare trying to get anything to show and play.
I just restarted my media server and rebooted my Shield. When I launch Plex app I can see my library, but when I go to play a TV show, it won’t play, and then when I go back to the main screen I then see all my libraries are disconnected.

Is there anything obvious here that I’m doing wrong here? I’m so frustrated with Plex now!

I used to have this problem a lot on my shield server. Though I’m still not sure of the cause it was at a time when I was only using internal storage for the server (I rarely had any free space on the internal drive). I added an external ssd via USB and set it up as a separate drive to be used for plex which seems to have addressed the issue.

Same issue for me since the last update, including not been able to access from any devices including web.

Fixed it changing a parameter in the Shield Plex app on the Shield allowing insecure connection from local network.

It don’t know how this is related but it also fixed the access issue I had with remote devices.

Only remaining issue is I don’t have the DNLA server working although enabled.

THanks for that. I changed that setting to allow insecure Connections. I’ll keep an eye on it over next few days.

OK, so the latest issue I now have is that my libraries I have connected to my Main Plex Media Server are not showing at all and keep stopping. I have to manually stop Plex Media Server process and then run it again for the main libraries to appear.

Any reason why it keeps stopping for me?
