On movie pre-play screen and select “Play.” The screen changes to the movie screen, but the movie does not play. If the movie is HDR, I do see the HDR flag on my LG B7. If you pull up on-screen controls, you see the timer at 0:00 and it does not advance. The only way I can get the movie to play is to back out to the pre-play screen and again select “Play.” Sometimes this must be repeated more than once.
This has been happening for several weeks, seemingly at random times. It sometimes happens when first launching the Plex app to watch a movie and other times when selecting another movie immediately after the prior movie ends. Audio (TrueHD, dts-HD, EAC3, etc) & video (H.264, H.265) types do not seem to matter, neither does container (MP4, MKV), resolution (1080p, 4K), or whether subtitles (PGS, SRT) are enabled. I am using the new video player.
Attached logs pulled after most recent incident. I finished watching Jojo Rabbit and started to watch Superman: Red Son. I selected Play and had to back out to the pre-play screen twice. The movie played when I selected Play the third time. This happened yesterday with some HEVC (non HDR, 1080p) and H.264 (1080p) media. I do not have logs for those incidents.
I have not noticed this with the LG Plex app, Plex Web (Win10) or Plex Media Player (Win10). A family member streams remotely with a Samsung TV and AppleTV and has not mentioned any such problems.
Any ideas?
