Nvidia Shield newbie questions

Hi
I am using plex on the Nvidia Shield Pro and would like to know how to use the buttons that appear on the lower part of my screen.
They disappear after 2 seconds, even when I select play or pause or any other button. Is there a way to keep that menu or buttons up until I am ready. Probably I have the wrong screen ratio, it is very annoying.

Do you mean the player control buttons? These automatically go away after a few seconds if you don’t do anything. There is no way to force them to stay up.

It’s not possible to set the delay. It’s an OS level implementation. We can either have the delay or no delay and stay on all the time. No in between. This is not just Plex, all apps should do the same thing.

How do I set it to show all the time?
Once is always on, I am able to close it to watch a movie?

Sorry, it’s not user settable. It’s done within the code.

I mean when the app is written, it has to be decoded then whether something on the screen is shown with a timer or without a timer.
