I recently installed Plex (longtime Kodi user here) and I have searched and see Plex offers screen saver options but I cannot find them to setup on my Shield Pro. Where in the Plex setup do you get the screen saver options?
I don’t want to use the screen saver built into the Shield, it turns off the device when listening to music. It also is not ideal the way it works for OLED. I would like a screen saver that goes all black.

I personally use the third party Photo screensaver app that uses my Google Photos.
I did more testing with that app and finally got it to display pure black images from my Google Photos library. But it has the same problem, after 20 minutes the Shield shuts down and turns off my TV and receiver. Any ideas how to deal with that issue?
Sounds like you need to set the energy saver to never. and change the power control settings in Display and sound appropriately so it cannot turn off your TV receiver when it sleeps.
Yes that solved it!!! It was the energy saver. I have a perfect black screen after 1 minute (I used adb shell settings put system screen_off_timeout 60000) to hopefully lengthen the life of my LG C9 OLED which already has a few hundred dead pixels on the bottom edge. I used the overscan feature in the Shield to shrink the size of the panel a bit so I don’t see those dead pixels.
