I am running an external drive on my NVIDIA shield. I’ve setup an external drive both on the shield and in Plex but the recordings don’t seem to be going to the drive and keep overloading the shield. Is there something I am missing in the setup? I am able to access pictures, movies and music from the same drive so it’s just not writing the dvr shows there for some reason.
When setting up the recording, you tell it which location to save to. Are you picking the correct location?
Yep, that looks correct. I only have like 2gb free on the shield so maybe I didn’t have it configured correctly the first time. The dvr is failing complaining about lack of storage to start the recording. Does that mean I need to clear the storage in the shield?
I don’t know what storage/6396-D200 is, but that should list all the locations that are available to the library chosen, in your case “TV Shows”. Did you add the external drive as a location to this library? You can only save to the folder that the library has access to, you can’t save to an arbitrary location.
