Nvidia shield playback crashing when transcoding in linux server

Hello,

I am currently receiving this issue from nvidia shield, when trying to transcode some of my films:

Hello,

I have just tried, multiple of the videos, and the are working fine in smartphone, lg tv, windows for windows, and fire tv. So I guess something might has been broken in the shield.
Can someone from the plex team check this?

I’ve been having the same issue for a week or so now. I gave up and just use Kodi on my shield now.

Happens on shield tv and also Sony Bravia tv’s currently. So looks to be any android tv platform that is broken.

The problem isn’t the shield.

1. The Nvidia Shield will transcode itself and be DirectPlay from Plex (I have a Shield Pro 2019)

2. Are the Nvidia GPU drivers current release ? Which card is being used?

3. What are the Shield app Playback settings? Subtitles in Automatic ? (It’s trying to burn subtitles – which the Shield does itself)

   Nvidia shield is not transcoding itself, since I am seeing how the playback from the server appear to be transcoding on the control panel

   Yes, I have latests GPU drivers, and using the P2000 gpu. And this is just happening under the shield, sooooo…

   I think I have SRT subtitles enabled, but why would that make the shield playback to crash?

Latest client update on Bravia and shield has fixed all of my issues.

mmm, how are you able to display the video information on the shield?
About the settings, I do not have a server running in the shield. My server is a linux one, so I do not have access to the server options. Just to the client ones, which are the same as yours.
People is talking in here about an update in the shield, I have just checked and my playbacks are no longer crashing, don’t know if my shield was updated these days or not. Any way to check that?
