NVIDIA Shield Pro (2020) will not default to 4K when playing

Server Version#: 1.23.4.4805
Player Version#: 8.20.0.26605

I recently installed a new 4k setup. I decided to not create a seperate library for my 4k movies after reading Plex would auto choose the correct version based on the player.

Well it is not choosing the correct version. When I click play it always chooses the 1080p version over the 4k version. I have to stop and manually select the 4k version to play. My client is set to Maximum quality for remove and local playback.

I read through this post NVIDIA Shield Pro (2019) will not default to 4K when playing which mentioned the fix was updating the receiever settings on the HDMI port to ‘enhanced’. Unfortunately I don’t have a setting like that on my receiever or projector.

I would really like to keep the files together and not have to create a new ‘4k’ library. Has anyone else had this issue and resolved it?

Of course after I post I solve the problem. I had to change the resolution settings on the Shield. They were defaulted to 4K 60hz, once I changed it to 4k 29hz 10bit HDR ready Plex started playing the correct files.
