nVIDIA Shield Pro Client

Has anyone had an luck getting the nVIDIA Shield Gamepad to work properly? The button mappings are all wrong which makes the games unplayable. Is this affected by the core used? Are there better cores that I should be using with the nVIDIA Shield in mind? Is there a way to remap buttons? Also, how do I close games using the shield remote or gamepad? When I tap the back button on the remote, I can see the Games library in Plex again but still hear the music of the game playing since it is still streaming. Overall, the Arcade is a great concept that I can see becoming a great feature but I feel is not worth even the reduced Plex Pass price due to it’s current state of functionality and complicated setup.

I’m having the same issues on my Shield. Also once I load a game it won’t stop that game. if I try to load another game it just brings me back to pervious game. I have to kill the app to switch games. I’ve tried other controllers like dualshock and xbox controllers and none of the mapping seems to work on shield. Has anyone figured out how to change mappings?

Mame games seem unplayable without a coin or player start button.

I’m just speculating here, so take this with a grain of salt but:

I also have the Nvidia shield controller, and the mappings for that is also messed up in regular retroarch. The solution there is to change the input driver in retroarch to one that has correct mappings.

Plex is using retroarch to some extent, so maybe the problem is related? Again, just speculating.

it’s easy to change the mapping in retroarch, I haven’t been able to edit the mapping in plex. I don’t think plex is using retroarch on the shield, its reaching back to where the media server is and using the dll core there. it’d be nice if there was a xml file, better yet a GUI to customize mapping for controller types (shield, xbox, dualshock, retropad, keyboard)
