I have setup the plex server (on a desktop not the shields built in PMS) and my games play fine, i have been able to add the files needed and i have no problems with them running from the servers browser window.
I however cant get the shield to play them (playing the game from the desktop PMS to the shields plex app)
Supported? I’m doing something wrong? just figured this device would lend itself to this function so well. I have the ability to run those snes9x+ programs from the shield itself etc, but i rather like the plex interface and it would be nice if i could get this function to work.
Are you accessing the Shield using a different Plex account or managed user? There seem to be some restrictions when it comes to those (no support for managed users, different accounts need their own Parsec accounts) https://support.plex.tv/articles/plex-arcade-faq/
I am running the latest server version and am logged into the shield with the same account. the games do work fine, including the emulators i added myself (nes, snes, sega etc) from the plex web browser. do i need to add extra emulation files to the system for different devices? i have not tried it on android phone or apple due to not being useful. pay for the subscription, parsec is linked, for all usage it does work, however only from the web.
does my plex server need to be unlocked like with steam and geforcestream etc?
