Posting here for suggestions on how to fix this issue I’m having. This seems to have kicked in with a recent update (9.8.1) because all my home theater demo’s in Atmos used to work flawlessly. I’ve tried force closing and restarting the app & doing an uninstall / reinstall.
What happens on the playback of some videos (stored on my PC and accesses via hardwire connection over LAN) the audio starts but screen is black. It will play all the way to the end and then the video starts (without audio). Very Strange. Anyone have any suggestions on what to do here?
Yes! I’ve recently started encountering exactly this issue on some files. I haven’t investigated it too much yet, so I can’t say exactly what file types/formats it does and doesn’t impact, but I can say that it does consistently happen with a particular 1080p, TrueHD 7.1 file. The file plays fine (audio and video together) on other Plex clients (desktop, mobile), so it seems to be limited to the Shield Pro.
I’m having the same issue on my Shield Pro with version 9.13.1.37459, and thought it was a Do/Vi issue, but maybe it’s more widespread? Anyone seeing any improvement on the issue?
