I’ve noticed that sometimes when I try to connect remotely to plex on my nvidia shield it sometimes won’t be available. However if I try to connect a few times then give it about 10 minutes, it’s suddenly available.
Is this caused by the shield going to sleep?
Well I think I’ve answered my own question. Seems like the first time I try to connect remotely it doesn’t find my NVidia Shield Plex server, however if I wait a few minutes and try again it pops right up. The only thing I can think of is the shield went to sleep and takes a few minutes to wake up and make itself available.
Sorry this is really late…but I found this thread as well that people are having the same issue for years.
I don’t even have a Shield TV yet but I have my reservations if Plex Server won’t run properly. So basically don’t let the Shield TV sleep then?
