My nvidia server does not appear to be available, there was an update but has not solved issues, nvidia shield server unavailable I have tried signing out and in, Also reset network but still no server. Anybody experiencing the same?

I have the same issue. Just came back home after a 3 week holiday (in which my nvidea shield was off) and now the plex server wont start up anymore on my nvidea shield tv. I did try to delete the cache. And also tried to start up the server manually several times with no success. It stays off. And doesnot show up anymore when I try to look for it form other devices. I am certain the last version of plex server is installed on my nvidea shield
I have same problem. I removed old server. I have added server again. There is not a problem on windows server but I can not reach nvidia server. Before It did happen but when I updated server it was solving problem
Having this exact problem.
Was watching a tv show. Stopped the show. Came back later and the show would not play. Then found the server was stopped.
Trying to start the server in the settings will just show the loader while it’s “Starting” then the alert goes away and the server is still stopped.
I did see 1 update in the app store. I updated – still won’t start.
Reboots/etc have no effect.
I am having the same issue. I even restored the SHIELD itself back to factory settings and still the same issue. The server located on the SHIELD continues to stop running as soon as it’s opened. I’m able to use PLEX on the SHIELD to use content on a separate server I have running on a desktop, so it appears to not be the PLEX app, but the media server on the SHIELD.
That server has a massive library. I really hope I don’t lose it. I have it backed from just prior to the crash on an external harddrive. Right now, I can’t get it running to even attempt to restore it.
What is going on?
I seemed to of solved my issue, I factory reset my nvidia shield luckily all my media on external hard drives, but after seemed to be OK I did notice there was an update for server, has been a few these in last months. Just check my apps on Google app, as mine take a while to update automatically dont know why.
This is a regular thing now. Plex for Shield is simply awful. Their updates corrupt their own software and mean I have to spend days putting things back the way they were.
I have had to rebuild a 1700 movie library about every 60 days for the past year.
I’m done. This software is so poorly made for this Shield device. Does Plex care? nope.

I just got a Shield recently. I have a PLEX server running on a NAS but was also hoping to run the server on the Shield. I don’t even see an option to start the server in the Shield PLEX client (and I don’t see the server running on the Shield). Is there some mysterious way to run the server I am missing out on?
Simple really just download the plex app on sheild and sign in on to plex account you should be prompted to download server app. You can access server and add content from internal and external storage on plex app or via plex on pc.
Just realized PMS does not run on the new Shield TV (2019) I just got, but only runs on the Shield TV Pro (2019). Sad face.
I have the same issue. My PC can’t reach my NVIDIA PMS. Has anyone done what daz98 suggests and does it work? This is very frustrating
Same issue here. Will someone remind me why I’m paying for this again?
