Nvidia Shield subtitles placed below bottom of screen

Are these Vobsubs? Someone in the beta forum raised an issue about this and I was able to reproduce.

[Bug] Inconsistent subtitle behavior

Client Device: NVidia Shield Pro PLEX Player Version: 9.0.0.31509 beta Server Device: Synology NAS PLEX Server Version 1.25.8.5663 Subtitles sometimes show off screen (too low). It seems to happen to some of my standard definition shows from DVDs (but not all).
