Nvidia Shield transcoding Atmos

I’m having some trouble. Just switched from a roku to a nvidia shield pro 4k. So glad i did so much better playback and many more options! My only problem is i can’t figure out how to get plex to pass through 7.1 audio to my receiver. If someone who has a receiver that passes through DTS-MA and Atoms could let me know what your settings are set to i would greatly appreciate it. DTS directly plays and all 5.1 streams but anything 7.1 trans codes to aac or something. I have the newest updated version of plex on the shield.

It seems as though connecting it hdmi right to my receiver has kinda fixed the problem i really wanted to have it set up via arc though a little more easier to use. Its weird that it would play dts through arc but wont play 7.1 tracks. Would love to know if this is a requirement.

ARC doesn’t have the required bandwidth for uncompressed audio streams.
