Hi,

When reading the following …

PLEX Media Server Expands Storage Options
Your server’s app data (metadata, background art, and more) can now be moved to USB storage devices. From the PLEX app, go to Settings > Plex Media Server > Storage Location.

Does that mean stuff like WATCH states and so on are no stored on the USB drive ?
Why I am asking this is, I would like to factory reset my nvidia shield but I don’t want to lose my watch status inside PMS.
I don’t mind rebuilding the libraries, it’s just the WATCH STATE would be horrible to restore manual by hand.

Having had done this myself, the way I did it was to log into the web application then:

  1. Sort your library by in list view.
  2. Select all.
  3. Mark as watched.
  4. And go back using the control + mouse click select to select multiple titles,
  5. With those titles highlighted mark them as unwatched.

But as far as backing up the database, I haven’t figured that one out yet. If being able to backup and restore the database that would save the trouble I have outlined above.
