Backup Nvidia Shield TV Plex Setup

Hi

Is it possible to do a backup of plex media server data on my nvidia shield TV ?

I moved plex to my 128GB USB Drive Stick formatted as Internal Device Storage when I set it up 6 months ago, Its been working fine but the USB drive failed last week, Plex would not start as the USB stick was just saying you can remove it safely in Shield TV Storage, plugging it into my PC and that could not format as it was ‘Read Only’, looking at San Disk Forum that means its failed.

So I have bought a new 128GB USB Drive Stick formatted as Internal Device Storage, reinstalled Plex and spent the last 3 days setting up my media again, particularly painful was setting up my Music collect as all the artwork had gone and scan library files would not find it, so I had to add it all manually.

So, having spent 3 days getting it all setup again, is there anyway to backup the Plex Metadata/setup? I can see under Settings --> Scheduled Tasks there is a Database Backup Location:

/data/user/0/com.plexapp.mediaserver.smb/Plex Media Server/Plug-in Support/Databases

I cannot see the /data/ folder? I’m guessing this is because my Shield TV is not rooted?

Is there anyway to backup/restore the Plex Data/DB/MetaData incase the drive fails again? rebuilding is a real pain and puts me off using Plex, even though I really like it.

Thanks for any advice
