Player Version#: Current Plex app for the Shield
When looking at a specific movie on the Plex app on the Nvidia Shield, it no longer shows related movies options.
This is a screenshot from the web app, but the point is the same… in this screengrab, I am looking at the details for the movie “National Treasure” and typically it will offer related movie choices when you scroll down, as can be seen in this image, but on the Shield app, none of these related movie choices are showing…
Thank you for the response however I’m not sure what “Collections” refers to in that thread. I don’t group my movies into “Collections”. I’m talking about the natural presentation of options that typically show under a specific title. If you are looking at the details of a movie with Clint Eastwood and Tom Cruise in it (one can dream), under that title, it will typically offer a row of similar/related movies and then a row of other movies of Clint Eastwood movies, and then another row with Tom Cruise movies.
I just got to your comments in that thread and you are correct. We are talking about the same thing. Suggested content on the pre-play screen is now missing.
My server is currently on 2415, same as your was. Haven’t had a chance to see if the latest available update fixes. Sheesh. Probably will have to revert to a prior version.

Can confirm this. I also created a new user, logged in as that user on Nvidia Shield Plex app and the suggested content on the pre-play screen does show for that user.
That would explain why I can see related content on my friend’s server but not on mine. Definitely looking forward to getting that back. I didn’t realize how much I used it until it was gone. I checked on the other accounts on my system that aren’t the system owner and they are showing the related content just fine.
I can confirm. I had two accounts on my server. The admin account no longer gets suggested content, but the other user account shows suggested content.
I agree with Wilpig. I feel kinda stuck finding the next movie to watch. I didn’t realized I used it all the time to find a related movie or movie with the same actors.
Yep I agree with you so much and needs to be fixed and so annoying it hurts me everyday having to do it the other way especially everybody else was different servers that have my movies on it because they have terrible internet where they are they don’t see it anymore either on their servers to o
This has been an issue for months now. I have it happening on both my Shield TVs and my MiBox. Both in my movie and series libraries. Both server and apps are updated to the latest version, and all online content disabled.
I have this same issue in the Nvidia shield with the Admin account only; however, with the admin account, I do see the “related movies” on my Android phone, iPad, Windows 10 Plex app, and PMP (TV and normal(?) mode).
I have the same problem. Related movies also show up in the web browser when managing the server. I have a friend’s server that shows related content on the Nvidia shield but my own server all the related content will not show up on the shield.
