Just started our road trip and thought I had everything setup to have Plex work on nvidia shield tv pro with an external SSD but lo and behold I forgot to enable the remote access. Is there anyway to do this now off the network? Or am I out of luck until returning home? Thanks everyone.

If you can’t reach your server after you go to https://app.plex.tv and log in, you are unfortunately out of luck.
Remote access is something which should definitely be tested in advance, because there are several circumstances which prevent it from working.
Some can worked around, some cannot.
I cannot access the server at the web address. Is there anyway to turn on access from the nvidia shield? I have remote access to my computer at home, but the server doesn’t show up there for the nvidia shield. Can’t believe I made this mistake.

No. It is not different to any other Plex Client in this regard.
