Plex and Nvidia Shield issues - remote access only

Hello

I have just setup a new nvidia shield at home - have a wired ethernet connection.

When i play something through the plex app, it accesses the plex server remotely, and not through the LAN. I have confirmed this via tautulli where it shows that the shield is connecticting via my remote WAN IP.

I run plex server through a docker on an ubuntu vm - the IP address for this VM is 192.168.1.200. I have also setup plex to be accessed through a traefik reverse proxy. The nvidia shield has an IP on the same subnet - 192.168.1.30.

How do i setup the shield to access my server via LAN???

I am able to access the plex server on my other samsung tv’s without any issues using the samsung native plex app - although this app does have a setting where you can enter the plex server IP address (nvidia shield plex app does not have this option).

Any assistance appreciated - this issue is driving me crazy.
