I have plex media server installed and running on a new shield tv pro
I took it out of the box fully updated it, installed plex media server and its running
its connected to a router that has a flash drive plugged into it
and properly shared as network storage…this will be the ONLY source of media for the server
the shield tv is properly configured and the shared drive shows up when the shield tv booted
the only weak link in this chain is plex media server
I have it installed on the shield and its running according to its own settings
however nothing can access it in an any way
logging into my shield account online its not accessible but listed
logging into a web browser installed onto the shield itself its displayed but inaccessible
via the plex software running on the shield there is no way to add a media source or in any way access any server settings
all i want to do is add the drive plugged into the router as the source for my media
I have tried this previously on an almost identical set up and had exactly the same issue, the only reason I purchased the shield was to set it up in this specific way.
any help would be appreciated, if it cant be done and i cant see why it would not be possible then the shield goes back.
