Considering how the Oculus Quest is less than a week away, I was wondering if we’d be seeing the native Plex VR app coming over to the headset, either at launch or in the near future.
And in the meantime, anyone know if Plex is offered as part of Oculus TV? I’d love to be able to watch my movies natively on the headset (without having to use an external PC and Bigscreen).

considering quest is super close to the go, it might be able to litterally run the same app. i really hope the plex devs see this and at least try to put it on the quest. i would love to watch 3d movies on there.
Same, I’m actually buying some 3D BluRays just to watch in my headset (a Quest which I’m getting next Tuesday).

Got the Quest today, 1st thing I did was look for Plex… it’s not there!!! Ahhh come one please.
I was also very sorry to see that the plex application isnt on the Quest. Please ohh please bring it to us!?!?
Also not happy to see Plex VR not porting the app to the latest Oculus Quest. Really, your only going to put it on the GO? Come On!

Super happy this is gaining traction. Sadly I forgot to put it under feature requests.
I debated for months over the Go or the Quest. I finally chose the Quest only to find out that there is no VR app for it. I can’t express how disappointed I am over this. I having been waiting for weeks to watch my movies on Oculus rather than my DayDream.
Like one of the other posters, I’ve been debating between a Go and a Quest for months. Held off and got a Quest, only to find out there’s no Plex app, and none planned! I’ve been waiting to buy a Plex Pass specifically for Plex VR. C’mon, Plex!!!
I’m a Plex pass subscriber and I was also disappointed that there’s no quest app or current plans to develop one. How many customers need to show interest before Plex considers development for this platform?

It’s bonkers and the CEO statement is even more wild. A company like Plex exists to have their client ever platform one could imagine. If the world just had one VR company and headset, eh, ok, maybe the resources are better used elsewhere but there are multiple stores, platforms, headsets, and a growing, underserved market. I’m disappointed Plex isn’t on Quest but can’t say I’m too surprised given how abandoned their Go version was and is.
This is a good point. What is their number that makes it worth their time? Can we start some sort of petition, not as a way of being angry or anything, but just to gauge interest from the overwhelmingly large Plex community for getting the Quest App on there?
I’d also love to see the Plex app on the Quest.

For the record, the Plex web app does run in the Oculus browser. It doesn’t hold a candle to the official VR app though.

Me too, I’ve hoped they would improve the Plex VR app for the Go. I secretly was hoping they were making huge improvements and waiting to unveil an update with the Oculus Quest. Please Plex, the web app isn’t ideal. Plus, I am unable to simply enter a passcode for admin accounts via the web access. If nothing else, can Plex at least do a simple port to allow us to use the Go app on the Quest? thx
