Really! no Plex VR for the new Oculus Quest?

I would certainly like to second the implementation of an Oculus Quest client. I love Plex and will continue to use for years to come on most devicesâŠhoweverâŠ
Iâve tried using my Plex Server via the Quest Browser, and it just doesnât do the experience justice. Firstly, if you have PIN enabled accounts, you donât get a keyboard to type in your numbers since they arenât text forms (I guess the browser doesnât support number format fields), so you have to disable the security feature to use it, which certainly makes it difficult for me to parentally restrict the content my kids view.

Iâm a Plex pass subscriber and specifically waited to get the Quest rather than buying a Go with the expectation that the VR app would be available since it is available on the Go. Canât describe how disappointed I am that the app is not there.

I agree with the everyone else⊠I am a Plex subscriber. Love the app but Iâve never been able to get the 3D to work correctly on my TV (cause of the TV not the Plex app). I was hoping I could finally watch my 3D library on the QuestâŠ
Come on Plex, if you arenât into spending time and money on a new app, at the very least, port your Oculus Go over the the QuestâŠ

+1 for this. As a lifetime pass member itâs frustrating that development continues on features I have no need but an increasingly popular media device like the Quest is being ignored.

I am a VR Developer. Do you think it would be a problem if I sell this as an app on the Oculus Store and Steam as a way to view Plex? I can see this being a couple months of development to get it working and performing awesome, just want to make sure I wonât get in trouble for it.

Is there a reason why this is not out yet? Lack of manpower, or lack of money, or paid to keep quiet/do nothing? Can the team be more transparent or is there some kind of deal going on?
My friends and I have a total of 4 Oculus Quest and the number will only grow in the upcoming year, and we have been waiting to view 360 GoPro videos for a long, long, while.
What gives?
At the minimum, give a workaround, say acquiring a plex vr for Go and sideload it into our Quest. Or something like that.
Quest is the fastest selling vr platform about. Odd that it is getting nothing from Plex. I have been with Plex for years and love it. But having to use third party apps on the quest is a pain. Please can you look into this evolving marketâŠ

A year later, still no reply from Plex.
At least a reply it will not come and why would be nice.
Lots of people would like to test it. And understand it will not always work the first time.
If someone got it working please let us all know.
