Place it in an Other Videos library so Plex will not try to match it to a movie.
I see so you suggest rather than getting the bug fixed that we just hide from it?
There are other videos that I’ve made in the folder where this didn’t happen
Then those were not matched because their titles were too different from any existing movies.
or if they are MP4’s and your movie library is set to “Prefer local metadata” it will use the embedded metadata if it exists in file.
Movie libraries using Plex Movie agent always tries to match to real movies. You using a movie library type incorrectly with non-movies because you just think it should be a certain way is not a bug.
I renamed it - fixed the problem. Thanks for the hint.
Something getting matched incorrectly happens to everyone sometimes. 90% of the time it is due to folks naming their files incorrectly. But that is naming real movies incorrectly not adding non-movies to a movie library.
As mentioned above if you want a library for random clips use an “Other videos” library.
You can “fix match” it in the library and choose “Plex Personal Media” for that one file if you really must keep it in the same library as real movies but I don’t recommend it.
Well, I really appreciate all this i’ll check into those various options. I really just tried the rename to see if it would affect anything. Certainly no offense to you but you know there’s a lot of crappy information out there.
Thanks for taking the time to tell me all this much appreciated
So I have all my videos in a sub folder called mine I sent that to other videos thanks again
