Sorry, no, it still only plays 10 minutes or so. That fix must be implemented in PMS not Plexconnect I think. I was referring to the fact that yesterday, the full episode menu was not appearing at all in Plexconnect while it was showing in Plex on iOS.
Not quite right... PlexConnect has to support it. Same as with "stacked media"...
I just updated from "PlexConnect-0.1-iOS-pre5.1" to "PlexConnect-XML_templates" which I got from https://github.com/iBaa/PlexConnect and downloaded it as a zip and then ran terminal command from folder level.
Daily show and NBC channels do work now but now I can not playback my Music anymore. It gives me error Trailers in unavailable , Try again later. Earlier version I could play my music except FLAC files.
I am running Plex media server Version 0.9.7.22from mac osx to ATv3 with firmware 5.3
Movies are running fine so no issues there.
Also I have some newbie questions, when everybody is talking about get the latest version , what they mean is getting what I got? I downloaded it as a zip file. Then how you add channels , I mean that are not listed on plex media server. As someone earlier said copy some file into plugin folder , but I am not able to located that folder in comp.
Channels are added on the server not in the clients.
The music section playback has now been removed and we do not know if it will return.
Yeah , I know and added few available channels on my server. But people are talking about channels like Letmewatchthis which are not available in server to be added. then someone was talking about getting a plugin file from internet and copying it in one of the folders and I did not find that folder.
The plugin folder on OSX is in “user/ library/application support/Plex Media Server”
So download the Unsupported AppStore bundle from the Internet (google is your friend) and place it in there. Restart PMS and then go to channels, click on the Unsupported AppStore and then install the plugins you want. You might want to update the Appstore from within the plugin just to make sure you have the most recent versions.
Side note: I think I should have called this thread “More Channels Work”. Feel free to rename it f00b4r.
You're screenshot is of the root Library, not User Library. With a finder window open, hit CMD-Shift-G and type ~/Library
You'll be presented with the User Library where you can Navigate to /Application Support/Plex
Thanks a lot. Finally found it , Now I got two folders there , 1) Plex , 2) Plex Media server. And when looking into these folders only plex media server folder has another folder with plugins in it. So I guess folder 2 is the one I should be looking into right?
Yes I can apply myself to that over the next few days as I have a bit of spare time. Have to put in more practice distinguishing V1 from V2 but I’m sure I will get it. Look for the first version sometime late tomorrow or Wednesday.
Great! There seems to be a better/easier solution to check the framework version: open the plugin bundle and look into Info.plist. look for - my current understanding is, that this is the version. I will try to verify that.
Also, the plist file carries a lot of other interesting data, like (sometimes) filetypes, codecs, RTMP, supported and excluded clients. Do some analysis... probably one or the other info is worth it?
Thanks!
EDIT: Process to get "PlexFrameworkVersion" is confirmed. :-)
The plist also indicates what regions it is available in. For example the Hulu plugin has a key: PlexPluginRegions and item “0” is US. Which will let people know if the geoblocking is the culprit for it not working.
