Official Replacement of Hama.Bundle Functionality (Anime Libraries)

Hello! I am a developer myself, and went down a rabbit hole researching how to make my own agent. I am pretty upset and disappointed by the news that custom agents will eventually come to end. I am also extremely concerned that Plex will force people into their way of organizing libraries instead of allowing their customers to organize them how they want.

Many people (thousands if not more) have been using Hama for organizing their collection of anime because in our opinions it does not fit within TV or movies. I am firm on having traditional movies as library #1, traditional TV as library #2, and anime as library #3 which can range from series (Demon Slayer) with any movies nested as special episodes, to standalone movies (Akira) with no series to nest under. Demon Slayer is not visible when using the official movie agent and Akira is not visible when using the official TV agent. This is why Hama exists - to allow them both in a single library.

On researching the Python API end-of-life I have seen Plex employees ask for suggestions to make PMS not need custom agents anymore. Has this use case been examined and been placed on the development roadmap? Simply allowing both TV and movies in the same library as a new library type would allow support for many types of media, not just anime, and if we are not able to continue using our libraries like we have been for years when our ability to use custom agents is removed I am more comfortable with changing my stack to Jellyfin than be told my library architecture is wrong. And I know many monthly Plex pass subscribers who will go with.

Thank you.

I guess if the activity on this forum is respective of the Plex roadmap then we have nothing to worry about
