OK, I've had enough of this piece of SH!T you pushed out, how do I get the previous version of PMP?!

There is NOTHING in this new version of Plex Media Player that works right. It is buggy as hell and you all should be ASHAMED OF YOURSELVES for pushing it out. The latest bug I’ve found is that you can’t reorder playlists. I saw one of your people commented on a bug report someone else posted about losing the ability to toggle subtitles while watching the video. He replied: “We had other priorities to focus on”. As best I can tell you were focusing on making this shittiest version of plex media player yet. It BOGGLES MY MIND just how bad this product is now. I have NEVER had even ALPHA software that was as problematic as this is. It NEVER should have been pushed out to your PAYING customers when so much of it doesn’t work.

So, how do I get the old version of the app to reinstall on my windows 7 system?

You seem joyful today.

@mickburke you can grab the older version here:

https://downloads.plex.tv/plexmediaplayer/1.3.10.720-dfcd90a6/PlexMediaPlayer-1.3.10.720-dfcd90a6-windows-x64.exe

Thanks Tesh.
And yes Ryan, I lack Joy whenever someone I gave money to replaces the PERFECTLY FUNCTIONAL think I paid them for with garbage that is 90% dysfunctional. It just happens.

I agree with @mickburke, nothing but nonstop issues since this new release. Huge step back in everything. Episodes no longer autoplay, half the videos don’t play and loading icon just spins.

Pretty much looking at other solutions at this point. Unfortunately for me my plex pass just renewed so you got me their I guess.

Agreed. This version is quite bad. Everything that is supposed to be recording has transcoding errors. I look at the files and there are up to 31 copies of the unrecorded episode with the last one in the recording list just shifting between recording, transcoder error and acting like its been completed, downloading, processing, and “finished”. Then it just keeps cycling over and over.

I also can’t get through a whole football game without it ending up kicking me out and spitting transcoding errors, this has been happening since they launched live TV so I don’t even use it because then I have to restart my server to fix it. I didn’t even watch live TV since installing this version, and restarting didn’t resolve any issue like it normally would.

Any links to the older version for MacOS? I can’t connect to my server securely on the LAN with the current app.

There are two “workarounds” - enabling remote access causes the app to connect indirectly by default.

Disabling remote access requires also disabling secure connection on the app.

And any relatively easy way to roll back the iOS version? It connects on the LAN without the above issues, but won’t play any video. Just keeps trying to buffer and the phone eventually times out and shuts off the screen.

I discovered that it won’t find ALL media that is in the folder. Very frustrating. Back to an older version.

Plex is now randomly stopping to play a video stream in PMP latest plex pass version, one of my users in PMP Windows 7 said that it the latest PMP public would also go back to the server dashboard many times and he had to go back.

There’s also the obvious issue that subtitles doesn’t work with automatic settings in the web player and sometimes the xbox.

Now my plex android web app is not displaying thumbnails anymore.

So many ■■■■■■■ issues, I don’t know why I pay for this ■■■■. All I ■■■■■■■ care is stability and even the public non-pass releases are shitholes full of bugs.

if you’re fond of OLD plex home theater(PHT) like me, try this.

as far as I know, this is the last version of PHT and still working without issues with current PMS.

I’m running 1.96 and 1.95 on linux and it’s working fine. Might be something going on the windows side.

Started a thread about this and ended up solving the issues myself. The main one was DNS binding protection turned on by the router which wasn’t there before.

I’ve also had zero problems with my Linux version of Plex. I really can’t recall the last major issue I’ve encountered.

Plex Home Theater für Mac OS - Download - CHIP

Search for openPHT, they include a bunch of fixes and h265 support.

@TVPlexHD
Maybe moot by now but:
Plex stores older versions of PMS on your mac when you upgrade. Check the folder Library/Applications Support/Plex Media Server/Updates There you have all the previous versions of the PMS.
