OK, so "manage hubs". Great. Anything else?

I’m slowly adjusting to the new Plex Roku app (not by choice), but I’m struggling to find benefits in the ridiculously different UI.

I see that you can now customize the sections (now called “hubs”) on the home screen. You can remove sections you don’t like, and you can add ones you want from other libraries. It’s a nice addition, but not game-changing.

Is that it? Is there anything else in the new UI that’s good?

I can obviously tell that everything’s moved around. But that’s not necessarily better. Is it somehow better to scroll up/down instead of left/right? Are tabs at the top of a library somehow better than the filters we had?

I’m really hoping I can find something good that can balance out the features we’ve lost. Is that naive? Do I need to just accept that the new Plex is worse and hope that it gets better over time?

You can choose to look at it that way, sure. Personally, I choose to be thankful that a platform I’ve supported for years continues to evolve and grow, and sometimes that means things change in ways that are not expected, or preferred. When a particular piece of software has changed too much for my tastes, I look for alternatives. If that’s where you are with Plex, then godspeed.

Unfortunately you just have to accept it and hope it gets better

People couldnt accept change so now we have the clunky side bar

With one caveat though, the admin of the server must show in dashboard.

Just because the dev’s see this as a global option doesn’t mean it can’t also be a BUG.

One of the things I like about the new UNO app is that the left menu can be rearranged and have items removed / added.
Plex is trying to create an app that is uniform in look and features across all supported platforms. Unfortunately, to do that you have to go with the lowest common denominator.
I would rather they (Plex) take advantage of each platform’s strengths and let customers decide what they want to use.
