I have a collection of some old disney cartoons ie. Donald Duck. These cartoons are not tagged with season or episode numbers. And i would like them to show in my TV-Shows library.
What is the best way to handle this?
Media looks like this:
Cartoons
Donald.Duck
-Specials
-Donald.Duck.A.Good.Time.For.A.Dime.1941
-donald.duck.a.good.time.for.a.dime.avi
I had already placed them in the folder specials, since it is how plex handles extras etc. But I think plex also expects atleast an Episode tag?
Yes. Just give them fake episode numbers in the order you would like them to appear.
Note that because these episodes are not matched, they will show up as episode 1, 2, 3, etc. You will need to change the title manually to match what they are. Or if your files are in an mp4 type file, you can add the title to the file’s properties and PMS will pick it up from there.
I already have them detected as per thetvdb series (per year).
Now I need to access the cartoons based on a collection or tag of some sort: I would like to be able to browse/watch only the “Chip an’ Dale” or “Goofy” or “Donald” cartoons regardless of the year (the series).
So far I have been unable to use tags (I can’t even find how to add a tag) nor collections (ditto).
I tried adding them to playlists but I can’t figure out if (or how) they can be used on Plex Media Player or on Samsung’s Smart TV client.
Thank you in advance
