Old MiniMac with Plex Server died, can't transfer Plex Server to replacement iMac

Home Plex Media Server running on old Apple Minimac. Minimac has crashed and can’t be booted (dead). Plex application previously loaded on replacement iMac accessing Plex MiniMac Server. Now want to stop MiniMac from being the Plex Media Server and make iMac the Plex Media Server (it has access to the USB HDD with media files).

Have uninstalled Plex app on iMac and reloaded to get setup server process, no success. Keeps wanting to access the old MiniMac Plex Server (which is down). Can’t log out of old MiniMac Plex Media Server to make it available to Claim Media Server.

How can I make the replacement iMac the Plex Media Server now (without access to the old media server)?

If you don’t have access to old mac mini (dead), you can’t access to the config files or log out to this server. So you need to do a fresh install in the IMac. So sorry. You can try to access to your mac mini HD in other computer with linux and make a backup of your media server configuration. Maybe it can works.
